Belluci é 8º cabeça-de-chave em Indianapolis

Beneficiado pela desistência do britânico Andy Murray, cabeça de chave número 2 do ATP de Indianápolis, o brasileiro Thomaz Bellucci acabou por ser elavado à condição de 8º cabeça de chave, o que permitiu assim ao brasileiro escapar de um confronto mais difícil logo na primeira rodada do torneio.

O adversário de Bellucci no ATP de Indianápolis será o Colombiano Alejandro Falla, em sorteio definido nesta sexta-feira. Falla é um jogador de 24 anos que em 2007 tornou-se o primeiro colombiano a terminar o ano entre os 100 melhores do ranking. Atualmente é o número 123 do mundo. A partida será difícil para Bellucci porque o colombiano é um jogador que costuma dificultar partidas para tenistas bem ranqueados, mas este ano ele tem feito uma campanha muito irregular, com apenas cinco vitórias nos torneios da ATP. Falla não enfrentou o Brasil no duelo pela Davis Cup em abril e seu melhor resultado na carreira foi semifinal de Lyon, 2007 no carpete. Além disso, Falla acabou de ser derrotado nas quartas de final do Challenger de Bogotá pelo brasileiro André Miele.
